Foundation
Engineering
We design all types of foundations needed to support structures used in the commercial, industrial, and Department of Transportation markets. We use the latest cutting-edge design software such as LPile, Group, Shaft, Shaft3D, Mat3D, AllPile, RISA Foundation, HeliCap, and Drilled Pier. We also utilize many other design tools, many of which were either developed in-house or custom software we have commissioned to broaden our structural design bandwidth. Some of the most common foundation types we design include, but are not limited to:
Deep Foundations
Drilled Shaft (caisson)
Driven Pile (timber, steel, concrete)
Helical Pile
Micropiles
Auger-cast Piles
Direct-embedded Pole Foundations
Shallow Foundations
Pad Foundations
Isolated Spread Footings (individual footing)
Combined Footings
Strup, Wall or Continuous Footings
Mat or Raft Foundations
Proper design and construction of foundations can only be accomplished with proper knowledge of the soil conditions. A geotechnical study, including subsurface in-situ exploration and laboratory testing should be done for each substructure element. The extent of this investigation should be commensurate with the importance of the structure and the project requirements. At a minimum, the geotechnical reports should include information on the allowable bearing pressure, the groundwater table elevation, the unit weight of soils, angle of internal friction, cohesion strength, and any other geotechnical features which could affect the design of the foundation.

Transportation
Engineering
We design all types of structures associated with the transportation industry. This includes applications used in cities, municipalities, and State Departments of Transportation. We use the latest cutting-edge design software such as BRASS-Pole, Pole, PLS-Pole, SAFI-HSE, RISA-3D, Autodesk Inventor, Atlas, Mathcad, Flange, SWISS, SABRE, and Florida DOT Structures Software. We also utilize many other design tools, many of which were either developed in-house or custom software we have commissioned to broaden our structural design bandwidth. Some of the most common transportation products we design include, but are not limited to:
Traffic Structures
Mast Arms
Span Wire (Strain Poles)
Pedestrian Poles
Sign Structures
Overhead Highway Sign Structures (Cantilever or Bridge)

UTILITY
Engineering
We design all types of structures for use in the utility industry. This includes transmission and distribution poles, communication poles, and substation structures. These structures typically meet the requirements of common standards such as ANSI O5.1, NESC C2-2023, ASCE/SEI Manual 48-19, ASCE/SEI Manual MOP 74, ASCE/SEI MOP 113, RUS Bulletin 1724E-300, ANSI/TIA/EIA 222, CSA S37, and IEEE 605. We use the latest cutting-edge design software such as Pole, PLS-Pole, RISA-3D, Autodesk Inventor, Mathcad, and Flange. We also utilize many other design tools, many of which were either developed in-house or custom software we have commissioned to broaden our structural design bandwidth.
